Renew Your Body, Mind and Soul in 2023

Has anyone else eaten way too much over the past few weeks? I generally have a pretty good diet (except for a little too much chocolate and wine) but the holidays can be a big derailer with all of the parties and temptations. I just participated in a Maintain Don’t Gain workshop and the next day I’m scarfing down cookies like they are going out of style.

I don’t feel good about myself when I eat a bunch of junk – and don’t feel good in general because what you eat has such a big impact on how you feel. Like most, I want to get back on track and further improve my habits in 2023. Not just my eating habits but my faith, my thoughts, and how I care for my soul. To be well, you really have to focus on your mind, body, and soul because all of these elements are interrelated. For example, you may eat an impeccable diet and exercise daily, but, if your mind is a wreck, your overall wellbeing won’t be good. And if you are running at a breakneck speed, trying to cram everything you can into your life, your soul and overall wellbeing will inevitably suffer.

My friend, Alice Smith, is a Dietitian and Wellness Professional. In October, I participated in one of her programs, Eat Clean for 15. As a result, I adopted some better habits which have stuck with me and lost six pounds (and that was even with a little cheating). I have always been very health-conscious and exercise every day. However, as I have gotten older, when I gain a few pounds, they don’t easily go away so I was thrilled with these results. I haven’t had the courage to get on the scale again after all the cookies though! She is going have to whip me into shape.

Alice and I are both passionate about helping other women improve their health and their lives. So, we started talking about collaborating on a program that incorporated faith as well as all of the elements of wellbeing. I have done much work int he area of wellbeing during my career; a lot of reading and writing on mindset and faith and am also a Fitness/Yoga Instructor – in case you are wondering how the “hot mess” factors in here.

I’m really excited about what we came up with!

  • A free 5-day challenge called Renew Body, Mind and Soul to help you kickstart positive change in your life in 2023! We will be offering a more comprehensive program in the near future, but this 5-day challenge is totally free with no strings attached.
  • The foundation of the challenge is faith. Change is hard and, when we rely on God’s unlimited power rather than our limited willpower, anything can happen!

 

Here is the agenda for the challenge – 

Day 1 – Faith, establishing a consistent quiet time
Days 2 and 3 – Body, eating habits and movement
Day 4 – the Mind, we will focus on a positive mindset and taming your inner critic
Day 5 – the Soul, adopting at least one new strategy to take better care or you soul

We will conduct the challenge in a Facebook group, providing content, a LIVE (which will also be recorded), and a takeaway assignment each day. I hope you will join us!
